Almost five months after it was announced, Oliver Kornhoff, the founding director of the Reinhard Ernst Museum (MRE*), takes up his post in Wiesbaden today.
Not only the building owner, collector and benefactor Reinhard Ernst will be welcoming him, but also a still small team that has already completed a great deal of development work in recent months and years and is now looking forward to this start-up along with the new museum director ready for the scheduled opening in September 2022.
“Our boss is a really lovely guy”, says Carolin Langer, who will be Oliver Kornhoff’s right hand woman in future and has already paid a visit to him at his former workplace in the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck. She goes on to say that he has many ideas and is packed with even more positive energy. Ines Gutierrez, responsible for the retail outlet at the Reinhard Ernst Museum, moved from London to Wiesbaden with her family only three months ago and can certainly give the spa town’s new citizen a few tips. When it comes to the operations and the activities to do with the construction, Kevin Thill and Ralf Knispel are the people to contact and are already a permanent part of the team.
We all wish Oliver Kornhoff a great start and look forward to working with him, maybe a hike up to Wiesbaden’s Neroberg and some unique moments at the MRE.
For the entire team –
